Masooma Hussain Safar Aljasmi is the Head of Department and Senior Clinical Dietitian with extensive expertise in pediatric nutrition and metabolic disorders. She specializes in providing nutritional guidance for various age groups, including neonates and children, and has a profound understanding of conditions such as epilepsy, cystic fibrosis, diabetes mellitus, and food allergies. A member of the Emirates Clinical Nutrition Society and General Secretary of EMA, Masooma has successfully launched a diabetes program aimed at empowering children with type 1 diabetes to manage their dietary needs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences, Food Technology, and Nutrition Science from UAE University and is a certified Diabetic Educator. As the Head of Department and Senior Clinical Dietitian, Masooma Hussain Safar Aljasmi brings a wealth of knowledge in nutrition for diverse pediatric populations. Her areas of expertise include inborn errors of metabolism, epilepsy management through ketogenic diets, and dietary interventions for chronic conditions such as diabetes and inflammatory bowel disease.
