Mr. Majed Mohammed, Manager of Advocacy & Scientific Affairs at Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP) in the UAE, holds a Master’s in Public Health and a Bachelor’s in Medical Sciences. Dedicated to reducing the impact of cancer, he leads local and global advocacy initiatives, amplifying the voices of cancer patients to influence policies and healthcare systems. Majed serves on prestigious committees, including the WHO NCD Labs Steering Committee, Young Leader in the NCD Child program, UAE Rare Disease Society, and the CCI Asia Regional Committee (ASRC). His role involves organizing and participating in advocacy platforms to improve cancer-related policies and regulations while fostering collaboration across local, regional, and global networks. In addition to advocacy, Majed is actively involved in research initiatives, contributing to reports on cancer care sustainability in the MENA region and breast cancer care improvements in the UAE. His efforts integrate evidence-based insights with patient advocacy to ensure healthier, more secure lives for patients and their families.
