Dr. Saeeda Almarzooqi is a Professor of Pathology at the College of Medicine & Health sciences, U.A.E University. She serves as the Assistant Dean for Medical Education since 2019. She is a consultant histopathologist at Tawam Hospital, Al Ain. She has a Masters in Executvie Healthcare Adminitration from Zayed University 2018. She is the chair of the Women in Science Committee, established in October 2021, a committee working under Mohammed bin Rashed Academy of Scientists.
She did her residency training in Anatomical Pathology at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. She did a fellowship in Pediatric Pathology at Nationwide Children Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She is a member of the Society of Paedatric Pathology. She presented at a number of local and interantional pathology and oncology meetings. She has organized a number of Pathology Conferences and workshops in the UAE. She has around 60 publications in the field of pathology, oncology and pediatric pathology. She has been awared a number of research grants. Her research work focuses on oncology and understanding the pathogenesis of disease and pediatric oncology.
