Dr. Maryam Al Shehhi, is a Consultant Clinical Geneticist at Sheikh Khalifa Medical city, Abu Dhabi and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at UAEU, college of Medicine. She is a graduate of Sultan Qaboos University, Oman in 2007. She obtained her postgrad Arab Board and (MRCPCH) certificates in Pediatrics in 2012. Followed by a Fellowship in Clinical Genetics from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and certificate of training in Medical Genetics from the Royal College of Pathologists (RCPath), UK. She is a member of the SEHA Genomics Service Line and a faculty trainer at UAEU Medical Genetics Fellowship and Genetic Counselling Master course. She was the associate program director of Pediatric residency program in Oman for 5 years. She was the vice President of Oman society of genetic Medicine. She has many publications in medical genetics including new discoveries of rare disease genes. Her areas of interest and research are rare genetic diseases, dysmorphology, neurodevelopment and neuromuscular disorders.
